MILAN, ITALY - FashionCamp is an annual event promoting emerging designers, fashion bloggers and new technologies in fashion. This year's edition took place on 7 and 8 June at the historic Steam Factory (La Fabbrica del Vapore) in Milan.
Highlights of the event included handmade glass jewelry by Contessa Rosafosca, unique dresses by a Bolognese artist Antonella Cinelli and circus-inspired artwork by Patrizia Fratus.
The industrial area around Via Procaccini, which has been now refurbished and utilized for a new purpose, makes an interesting destination itself. So don't forget to put it on your Milan itinerary next time!

"Milans future has much more in store than just avant-garde skyscrapers. In fact, several of its most interesting architectural projects are focused on refurbishing historic buildings, several of which date back to the period that followed Unification. One such example is La Fabbrica del Vapore (The Steam Factory via Procaccini 4), a workshop established at the end of the 19th Century the height of the industrial revolution for the production of railroad cars. Nowadays, this evocative space is a highly sought-after location for cultural events: it hosts art exhibitions, workshops, photographic studios, and cultural initiatives. The Steam Factory is a stimulating venue not just in space but in concept: a place to manufacture trains to cross the newly united Italy, it now generates culture." - Where Magazine
