During my recent trip to Tokyo, I had a chance to visit roomsLINK trade show and get more familiar with Japanese fashion designers. One of my discoveries was a young label HARCOZA which had one of the most captivating displays at the show. Their designs are even more interesting and it is really surprising that they haven't received international recognition yet. But I am sure it is just a matter of time as the label has a really huge potential.
Everything, starting from the colourful square logo, well-designed website, unique business cards, and SS 2013 catalogue with the shiny red cover, is stylish, creative, and well-thought.

The designer behind the label, Ms. Haruko Okano, studied fashion in New York where she developed a strong interest in arts. It became an essential part of the creations of HARCOZA.
"I think the two, arts and fashion, have a very similar side at the point of how to explore the value brought to things." - said Haruko Okano.
The interiors of HARCOZA boutique (located in between Daikanyama and Ebisu) looks like a little art gallery and compliments the clothes. The place is full of light and bright colours, and has a positive, cheerful atmosphere. Except clothes, there is also an eclectic selection of accessories - rings, watches and necklaces.
"Clothes are just one thing of daily life, but it is also something that has the ability to change our feelings or ideas. I hope customers can feel some cheer by wearing my products." - added Haruko Okano.

HARCOZA Spring/Summer 2013 collection titled "Asakusa Beat" features a selection of dresses that come in many shapes and colours. There are a lot of prints and patterns and the traditional elements are mixed with futuristic forms. What we really like is an amazing styling in the campaign photoshoot. Have a look at the pictures below and make sure you visit HARCOZA boutique while you are in Tokyo!
