BANGKOK, THAILAND - Second day of International Couture Fashion Week 2012 started with the Queen of Thai Silk show and the royal reception. All designers participating in the fashion week were given a special assignment: they had to create three to five dresses in Thai fabrics.

"The silk has relatively coarse texture with uneven, slightly knotty threads", commented veteran couturier Frederick Lee. "But its imperfection is the heart of its beauty and the proof of its human creator. I love working with Thai silk."

The Queen of Thai Silk show was followed by two Thai designers, Theatre and Nagara, and a pioneer of Japanese bridal fashion, Yumi Katsura. All three catwalk shows were very different from each other. They had their own distinctive style not only in terms of designs, but also in the choice of music, lighting, and catwalk choreography.

Fashion Studio Magazine will be posting full catwalk coverage shortly. In the meantime, have a look at the general atmosphere of the second day of the Fashion Week and get some outfits inspiration from the most stylish guests.
