SINGAPORE BLOG AWARDS 2012

INTERVIEW WITH EVA FYDRYCH
the Founder and Art Director of Fashion Studio Magazine

OMY: How do you feel about being one of finalists in Singapore Blog Awards 2012?

EVA: It is a real honour to reach the top 10 in Casio Sheen Best Fashion Blog category. The competition was very strong and I am happy that Fashion Studio Magazine got noticed and was selected from so many entries. For me, it is already an award.

I would like to say thank you to all my contributors, writers and photographers, and other people who encouraged me along the way. It wouldn't be possible without their work and support.

OMY: When did you start blogging and what drew you to it?

EVA: Fashion Studio Magazine was started more than one year ago, in January 2011. I have always had a strong interest in fashion. During my modelling days, I used to meet a lot of talented people, some of them were not very well-known yet. Starting my own blog, gave me not only a great platform to write about the latest trends, but also a place to showcase up-and-coming designers, models, photographers, and makeup artists.

OMY: Where do you get inspiration for your blog content?

EVA: I get inspired by so many things: travelling, movies, city streets, window displays, meeting people, and of course, happenings in the fashion industry and different events taking place around the world.

OMY: How do you feel about the other Finalists in your category this year?

EVA: I think all of them put a lot of energy and hard work into their blogs. There are a lot of well-written articles, high quality pictures, and creative styling ideas.

OMY: How do you think you will fare compared to them?

EVA: I'll leave that question for the readers to answer...

OMY: Give a reason why readers should visit your blog and vote for you?

EVA: Fashion Studio Magazine is a great destination for the latest fashion news, interviews with models, designers and photographers, beauty tips, and style inspiration. The idea behind the blog, is to show fashion from the global perspective. I strongly believe that fashion is an universal language and, like music and art, connects people from different parts of the world. Instead of focusing on just one market, FSM highlights the most interesting events in the main fashion capitals and always tries to see the bigger picture.

Except the latest fashion news and major catwalk trends, there is always a lot of unique content that is hard to find in mainstream fashion magazines - articles about trendy boutiques and art galleries, inspiring interviews and street fashion from different cities around the world, from San Francisco to Sydney.

Being selected as the best fashion blog, would give me a motivation to continue doing what I love and to work even harder. Thank you for your support! :)
