G-Star opens new flagship store in Cannes

Cannes, France - Last Tuesday G-Star officially opened its new flagship store in Cannes. G-Star, known for its characteristic innovative style in the world of denim, hosted a special store opening during the 65th Cannes film festival with a night of performance, art, music and fashion. The store was officially opened by G-Star�s forthcoming campaign face, American actor Caleb Landry Jones and English singer-songwriter Anna Calvi.

Young rising American actor Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First class and Antiviral) will feature in the Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign shot by photographer Anton Corbijn. The female face that features alongside Caleb Landry Jones and the Autumn/Winter 2012 G-Star campaign itself will be revealed at the Bread and Butter tradeshow in Berlin on July 4th 2012.

The opening of the new G-Star store was attended by English singer-songwriter Anna Calvi, who gave an acoustic performance. DJ Jean-Beno�t Dunckel, formerly part of the electronica duo Air and electro pop band Tomorrow�s World, also gave an in-store performance. Guests of the opening ceremony were Lou Lesage, Beatrice Rosen, Delphine Chaneac, Shirley Bousquet, Christophe Barratier and Aurelien Wiik. 

At the Cannes store opening G-Star also presented the travelling Denim Museum, containing the RAW Art Series that contextualizes denim as collectable art objects. Included in the opening event was also the G-Star Pop-up show, transforming a catwalk show into real live interaction on a mini scale. 

The new G-Star flagship store in Cannes on the Cote d�Azur is a continuation of the brand�s global expansion. Recently opened flagship store locations include: Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Causeway Bay in Hong Kong and Ginza in Tokyo.
