2012 Fashion Fights Cancer Annual Holiday Party

NEW YORK - Join Fashion Fights Cancer patrons and supporters for cocktails, sweets and savories at the annual holiday party taking place at KTCHN in the OUT Hotel on Monday December 10th.

The event will feature a host of special elements this year including a visual pop up gallery of 20 inspiring photographs of FFC participants captured through the lens of renowned photographer Giovanni Zaccagnini Chanels Campaign Model Saskia De Brauw. The FFCs Message of Life is a visual collection of feel good portraits printed in oversized black and white with support of Duggal Studios. The Message of Life is a photo journey following the joyous participants, encapsulates the program and portrays the intimate side of healing through self-sustainability and the FFC initiative.

CFDA Jewelry Designer Pamela Love will debut her Love Wheel Collection, in which she taught seven of FFC patients to design their own jewelry in which will support future programming. Groove the night away to the sounds of New Yorks IT girl spinstress DJ Kalkutta, all in the spirit of giving, support for the mission of this important organization.

ABOUT FFC: Fashion Fights Cancer's (FFC) mission is to nurture the minds, bodies, and souls of cancer patients through Cancer Survivor Program fashion and design oriented activities. FFC's Therapeutic Workshops and Seminars are (free) to cancer patients and survivors. These workshops and seminars use fashion and design related disciplines in a variety of activities that act as soothing therapy. Studies have shown that activities such as the ones we offer reduce suffering and anxiety of the participants. FFC galvanizes the support of New York City and the international fashion community to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and therapeutic programs. Fashion Fights Cancer engages the medical and fashion communities to help combat this disease. Critically acclaimed designers who have donated their time and/or resources to help FFC with our programs and events include Carmen Marc Valvo, Tracy Reese, Byron Lars, Monique Pan, Herve Leger, Kristi Vosbeck, Joy Cioci, Tadoshi Shoji and more.
